Help with mic sound quality. Could be the mic adapter or the computer.?
I have a mic that I can plug in to my iPod to record sound, and it works great. It records 100% perfect. I have an adapter that lets me plug that same mic into my laptop, and it sounds bad. Why is that? The adapter was brand new and should work just fine… so why is the sound quality so bad? Is it my laptop? I mean can that affect my overall sound quality? The laptop is kinda old, and the adapter is a simple GE Inovations brand. But shouldn’t it record good anyway? I mean it sounds awful… I just don’t get it. Please help if you can, and BE DETAILED. Don’t just say “get a new mic” cause then I’ll just be angry…
what program are you using for recording, it might be poor, goto recording properties and choose some preferences….control panal > sound speech audio > recording tab > select your device, i think its line-in you need but to too sure > click properties…hint:- tick mic boost
